The Vasantrao Naik Vimukta Jatis and Nomadic Tribes Development Corporation (वसंतराव नाईक विमुक्त जाती व भटक्या जमाती विकास महामंडळ) was constituted specifically to bring the nomadic and de-notified tribes of Maharashtra into modern commercial enterprise.

Many youth from VJNT communities possess strong entrepreneurial drive in transportation, goods transport, small machinery fabrication, retail hardware, and dairy management, but struggle to provide high margins or bear high commercial interest rates.

1. The ₹10 Lakh Bank-Linked Interest Refund Scheme

Mirroring the state's modern welfare architecture:

• Loan Cap: The applicant secures a commercial loan up to ₹10 Lakh from a nationalized, private, or cooperative bank.
• Interest Reimbursement: Upon regular monthly EMI repayment, the Mahamandal refunds the interest component up to 12% p.a. directly to the borrower's bank account via DBT.
• Tenure: Up to 5 years (60 monthly installments).

2. Direct Lending and Seed Capital Schemes

For smaller traditional enterprises:

• Direct Micro-Credit: Up to ₹1,00,000 provided directly by the corporation at nominal interest (4% p.a.) for setting up small trade kiosks, repair centers, and sheep/goat rearing.
• Margin Money Seed Loan: 20% soft loan provided to supplement commercial bank loans up to ₹5,00,000.

3. Eligibility Criteria

• Community: Must belong to recognized Vimukta Jatis (VJ / DT) or Nomadic Tribes (NT-B, NT-C, NT-D) with valid caste validity certificates.
• Age: 18 to 45 years.
• Income Limit: Annual family income ceiling as notified by the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Maharashtra.
